About Extended Surface Heat Exchangers

Extended surface heat exchangers incorporate some form of finning to extend the surface area of the tubes to improve their heat transfer area and performance.
There are several ways in which the surface area of tubes can be extended including tightly fitting fins over the outside of the tubes, expanding the tubes into the fins by passing a bullet through the tube or machining the tube to create a ‘threaded’ effect on the outside of the tubes.
Fluid Dynamics can design, manufacture, supply, and refurbish all types of extended surface heat exchangers to suit your needs.
