The difference with the Shell & Fin-Tube heat exchangers offered by Fluid Dynamics in their FluidEX® range is that fin plates are stacked closely and precisely along the length of the tube stack.
The fin pitch (the distance between each fin) can be varied for different fluids, air and performance requirements and provide real benefit from up to an extra 400%* surface area compared with the plain tube design a feature that can translate into a more compact heat exchanger providing the same thermal performance of a larger unit or improved thermal performance from a unit with the same footprint as existing. The clever fin design ensures that all of the fins are spaced evenly and accurately apart which combine with the tubes to form a very rugged and stable construction.
